With every passing week comes better news. The app has been approved by Apple for open beta testing which means soon we will be full steam ahead for regression testing of the application. A lot of the business side has also been nailed down with some financial aspects left to cover.

Our custom data collection module is almost complete, with some minor setbacks on schema inference but this will be resolved in time for app release v1.0.11. All in all, a productive week spent coding with not much time to myself. Many bugs have been ironed out which caused random crashes within the application but one particular with Lottie is still troubling on app refresh where animations vanish. Shouldn’t be too long until I find the solution but I am happy to report, a lot of progress has been made.

Another concern is that it seems the big players of mobile transactions aren’t supporting the UK as much as I would have hoped, effectively meaning implementing the Square or Stripe SDKs to take native payments from the device within the application won’t be realised just yet. We will be taking a different approach so that users can accept card payments directly.

Data creation and viewing is finally coming to realisation and then it’s just a matter of writing the remaining APIs and Schemas and rolling out on a larger scale to collect beta information. Planning for AI implementation has also been completed with some of the test approaches working, shouldn’t be too long now but perhaps an injection of funding is required before we take on the next big challenge?
